What our guests have said…

We’ve been visiting the Thrums for some years now when we make our annual pilgrimage to the area. Sometimes lunch, sometimes evening meal but the standard is always extremely high and very reasonably priced. See you next year!

Jake

Enjoyed 3 days with friends for walking festival. Hotel ideally situated for the Angus Glens with good parking. Bar food tastey, especially pork fillet. Bar was lively but quiet for good night’s rest.

Stayed one night for a recent business trip. Single room. Decent size, nice en-suite toilet/shower room. Tea, Coffee, Kettle etc in room. Bar staff friendly. Good selection for evening meal and food was decent enough. Great breakfast.

Stayed here 4 nights on business. Rooms were a very good standard – modern and clean. General decor of hotel was good also. Food at the bar was excellent. Staff very friendly. Overall highly recommend.

Steven

Stayed with my sister for the only hot weekend of the scottish summer! The room was really nice with a modern ensuite and situated at the front of the building. There was wifi in the room and all over the hotel. The pub is a real local and there is also a nice lounge for residents who don’t want to sit in their rooms. Breakfast was lovely and it is a friendly welcoming place. We didn’t eat dinner here but meals are available. We’d definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently stayed in in Thrums Hotel, Kirriemuir when visiting the town for a family wedding. We found the hotel a comfortable family run premises. The rooms, although small, were clean and had all conveniences. The food was obviously fresh and home made and provided good quality pub food. The staff were very helpful and friendly and happy to accommodate our needs.

Although I have not yet stayed at the Thrums Hotel overnight, I have spent two fantastic evenings there, in their lounge bar with friends. The bar itself is very cosy and extremely friendly and as a Kirrimuir outsider I felt very at home and welcome. The relaxed atmosphere and the attentiveness of the bar staff is second to none.
